Johanne L. Monestime Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Medicine
Johanne Monestime has been named a VIP Member for 2011-2012
MIAMI, FL, January 11, 2012 /United States PR News/ -- Johanne L. Monestime, MD, Pediatrician at Liberty Medical Associates, has been recognized as a VIP Member by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in medicine.
Dr. Monestime has been with the Liberty Medical Associates group for the last three years. Dr. Monestime graduated with an MD from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies and completed her residency at Tod Children's Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio. At the thriving pediatric practice, she treats patients from infancy to 18 years old with respiratory, gastrointestinal and dermatological issues. Dr. Monestime loves working with Dr. Rufus Joseph, who heads the practice, because of his mentoring skills and the compassion he shows his patients and their family members.
Dr. Monestime enjoyed interacting with the medical students from Ross University who shadowed her for two-week periods. She has privileges at the North Shore Medical Center where she takes care of newborn infants in Miami and is a member of the Florida Medical Association.
Dr. Monestime's family is very important to her. They all reside in Florida except for her sister, Rose Vielot, a preschool teacher from Connecticut. Her father, Carmelau is a retired businessman with his own radio show in Miami. Her brother, Carl and sister, Regine are both attorneys in Miami. Dr. Monestime became involved in her profession because of the inspiration she received from her mother, Elvire Monestime, who worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years.
Dr. Monestime is committed to treating her patients with kindness and providing the best service possible; she is always working to find solutions to problems. She attributes her success to her faith in God, love for children, and the support she received from her mother and the rest of her family. Looking forward, Dr. Monestime hopes to continue working in the same capacity.
